MARC MARKELL
INTERNATIONALLY KNOWN, AUTHOR, EDUCATOR, AND SPEAKER
Marc Markell is an internationally known author, educator, and speaker for his work in education, learning disabilities, psychology, grief and death. Marc earned his doctorate from the University of Minnesota in Educational Psychology and holds several related professional certifications. He has published numerous articles in LGBTQIA+, and grief and death education. His published books include:
- Helping People with Developmental Disabilities Mourn;
- The Children Who Lived (Coauthored with sibling Kathryn Markell); and
- Everyone Grieves.
Marc Markell teaches at:
- St. Cloud University in St. Cloud, Minnesota;
- Worsham College of Mortuary Sciences in Wheeling, Illinois; and
- Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin.
Marc Markell holds trainings and certificates as a Professional Development Specialist, Thanatologist, Crematory Operator, Funeral Arranger, and Celebrant along with a certificate in Death and Grief Studies.
Marc Markell currently lives in Minnesota with his family and travels internationally for speaking engagements.
