MARC MARKELL
INTERNATIONALLY KNOWN, AUTHOR, EDUCATOR, AND SPEAKER
Marc Markell is an internationally known author, educator, and speaker for his work in education, learning disabilities, psychology, grief and death. Marc earned his doctorate from the University of Minnesota in Educational Psychology and holds several related professional certifications. He has published numerous articles in the area of his educational specialization which include learning and behavioral difficulties, positive behavior strategies, literacy for students with disabilities, psychology, grief, and death education. His published books include:
Worsham College of Mortuary Sciences in Wheeling, Illinois; and
Gyeongin National University of Education in South Korea.
He also regularly conducts educational workshops on academic topics related to the Strategic Instruction Model (SIMS) and Classroom Strategies. People of all ages and backgrounds attend Marc’s Grief and Loss Workshops that provide focus for care providers, individuals with cognitive, learning or behavioral disabilities, those making funeral arrangements, and those who have experienced tragic loss.
Marc Markell holds trainings and certificates as a Professional Development Specialist, Thanatologist, Crematory Operator, Funeral Arranger, and Celebrant along with a certificate in Death and Grief Studies.
Marc Markell currently lives in Minnesota with his family and travels internationally for speaking engagements.
